Leaving the studio.
Every now and then, the Industry West team will leave the studio. Usually, for a run-and-gun shoot somewhere around town or because the light looks good right outside. In 2022, shooting in natural light started as something I shied away from to something I get excited about.
Before 2022, all my commercial work relied on artificial light. To someone that cut their teeth on a cyclorama stage, working outside presented a few challenges. Though, after a couple of sessions, shooting outside began to inform my studio work as well as encouraged me to start mixing the two.
